I’ve been a professional photographer for over ten years, starting my journey in Beirut, Lebanon. My work took me across the Gulf region, and for the past eight years, I’ve been based in Montreal, Canada. Throughout this time, photography has been more than just a job for me—it’s a way to connect with people and capture their stories.
The art of photography is only half of what I do. The other half is about forming genuine relationships with my clients. I’ve found that when I connect with someone on a personal level, I’m able to see them through an artistic lens that brings out the best in their portraits.
For me, it’s all about finding that common thread. Whether it’s the number of kids we have, where we grew up, or even our favorite place to eat, there’s always something we can relate to. During a photo session, my goal is to discover that connection. It’s what helps put my clients at ease, allowing me to capture the most honest and authentic portraits possible.
Growing up as the third boy in a family with no internet and a big curiosity, I was always searching for something to feed my imagination. My mom, being wise from experience, learned to hide the important stuff—especially our family photos. But one day, my curiosity got the better of me, and I found them.
Among the photos, I stumbled upon something that shocked me—a picture of my dad standing next to his identical twin. I knew for a fact that my dad didn’t have a twin, so this discovery left me puzzled and fascinated. It wasn’t until much later that I learned the truth: it was an old negative technique, a primitive form of double exposure, that created the illusion of a twin. This photo had been edited directly on the negative back in 1963.
Living through the war era, my mom always kept a travel bag ready with all our essential documents, some money, and, of course, those precious family photos. There was also an old 6mm Kodak camera in that bag. For a long time, I would sneak into the stash, going through the photos one by one, trying to understand the stories they told. I was mesmerized by those albums, lost in the world they revealed, until the day my mom caught me.
That’s when my story with photography really began. I was captivated by the creativity and imagination behind that double exposure photo. It wasn’t just a picture—it was a piece of art, crafted with intention and skill. From that moment on, I was hooked. Photography became my way of exploring and understanding the world, a passion that grew with me and continues to shape my life today.
Photography is more than just a profession for me—it's a passion that runs deep. Every moment I capture tells a unique story, reflecting the emotions, connections, and beauty that make life extraordinary. From the laughter shared during a family portrait to the intimate glance exchanged between a couple on their wedding day, I strive to preserve those fleeting, heartfelt moments that you'll cherish forever.
With over 15 years of experience, I've had the privilege of being welcomed into the most important days of people's lives. It's an honor to witness and document these memories, knowing that the images I create will be treasured for generations. My goal is simple: to create photographs that resonate with you, capturing the essence of who you are and the love that binds you together.
